Working hours: Flexible

We are seeking a Volunteer Research Assistant with a focus on North America to help with the growth of a new geopolitical think tank. The Mathurin Hybrid Initiative is a project designed to provide a platform for young people and underrepresented communities with a voice in world politics. While we currently cannot offer paid positions, this role is suitable for any undergraduate or postgraduate living in North America, seeking to gain additional research experience beyond their university courses.

 

Responsibilities

As a Volunteer Research Assistant with a focus on North America, you will contribute to our mission of exploring and analyzing global issues. We are seeking individuals with a strong passion for international relations, political science, economics, or related disciplines. Your role will involve thorough review of the influence of North American countries in global politics and interactions. Your multifaceted responsibilities may encompass the following:

Depending on your interests and availability, your responsibilities could involve the following:

Research Papers 1,500+ words: Conduct thorough and insightful research on topics spanning global politics, through the lens of North American countries. Uncover key trends, historical contexts, and contemporary developments to contribute to well-informed content.

 

Blogging 300-1000 words: Translate complex concepts into engaging and accessible blog posts. Craft thought-provoking narratives that captivate readers and provide fresh perspectives on global affairs.

 

Innovative Insights: Bring your unique perspective to our team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and content planning. Explore innovative angles that shed light on unexplored aspects of international relations and related fields.

 

Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in global politics, economics, and international relations. Maintain a commitment to ongoing learning and personal growth.

 

Qualifications

  • No previous work experience required.

  • Must be studying International Relations, Political Science, Economics or a related field at least at the undergraduate level.

  • Must live in North America

  • Research and Analytical Skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Other languages considered a bonus).

  • Ability to keep up to date with ongoing international political developments.
